We are seeking a dedicated Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and shipping & receiving processes within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail and physical stamina.
Responsibilities
Carefully select and pack items according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Handle materials safely, including lifting heavy loads when necessary
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment following safety protocols (training provided)
Manage stock levels through picking & packing, stocking, and inventory control procedures
Assist with load & unload activities, ensuring products are moved efficiently within the warehouse
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing targets and deadlines
Qualifications
Prior experience in warehousing, shipping & receiving, or related roles is advantageous
Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts (training can be provided)
Knowledge of warehouse management systems is desirable
Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in packing and stock management
Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
Basic understanding of quality control procedures
