Production Operative

GM Marketing Ltd one of Northern Irelands significant brand builders supporting Tilda, Hipp and most recently Favourit Foods Ltd.

Favourit Foods is a long-established supplier of herbs, spices and food ingredients. Our customers belong to all sectors of the food industry and include major retailers, wholesalers and food service.

As part of continuing expansion we have a number of production operative roles currently available both full time and seasonal.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidates will:

-have a right to work in the UK
- have experience working within a manufacturing or processing environment
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have a degree of physical capability due to the manual nature of the work

Their main duties include packaging a wide range of herbs and spices by machine and hand in jars / pots, packing and assembling goods and attaching labels to finished products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Output:

Operating and cleaning production machinery To pack a range of herbs and spices both by manually and with the use of food processing machinery in line with department procedures To label products ensuring that all details (e.g. best before date) are accurate To pack final products into boxes as per customer requirements To complete required production documentations accurately To observe good housekeeping within your work area To adhere to Company General Policies, i.e., Food Safety, Health Safety Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines

Production Skills

Good concentration and attention to detail to quickly notice errors on a production or assembly line Strong teamwork skills, as the job involves working with others in a team Committed to achieving goals and delivering results against deadlines. The ability to work with minimal supervision and manage their own workload

Desired Criteria:

Knowledge of food production 1 years' experience in a production environment. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills across a variety of media - verbal, written, Good planning, organizational and time management skills. Understanding of the food production process.

Schedule:

Day shift with occasional overtime opportunities as required Monday to Friday 07:30 - 15:30
