Job Description

We are seeking seasonal Packhouse Operatives to join our packhouse team. We are looking for hard working and reliable individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

To sort produce according to quality standards and customer requirements. Set up packing machines according to product and packaging. Operate packing machinery and equipment following operational guidelines, and report any issues or breakdowns. Stacking boxes of ready produce. Preparing finished pallets for loading. Loading lorries with pallet trucks.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a fresh produce packing environment is preferred. Previous experience with Proseal heatsealers is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods is essential. Forklift license is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a team.

Other Information

Accommodation is available on site with parking, free laundry, a social area and gym. We'd like to note that this is a seasonal job from May-September. Work can be provided all year round but will be other general farm work, not in the packhouse.
