We are Pastry Cutters and we have been delivering great value cakes across the county for more than 25 years. We are a growing business and we are looking to recruit a dedicated Packing and Distribution supervisor to support the leadership team.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Packing and Distribution Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the packing and picking area, ensuring efficient and effective processes in materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all warehouse distribution activities, including picking, packing, stocking, and shipping. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to warehouse operations. Manage inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimise stock control. Oversee the loading and unloading of goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed. Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain product standards and minimise errors. Train and develop warehouse staff in best practices for materials handling and equipment operation. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and prepare reports as required. Implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking. Experience with materials handling equipment, including wrapping and packing equipment. Strong admin acumen, to organise your stock levels. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Attention to detail is key, ensuring all packaging meets industry standards. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. An ability to look beyond to normal way of doing things and find new ways to succeed.

Pay: 29,000.00-32,000.00 per year
