Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Packing Team Leader to join the team at our food manufacturing facility near Willand . This role is an essential link in the management chain and will have a direct influence on the Company performance and the satisfaction levels of the team. The job holder is close to the product and stands at the point where all the resources merge to produce the product. They will have a significant effect on product quality, wastage, team moral and customer satisfaction. The job holder will interact with many other departments and will need a large range of all-round skills and knowledge to be successful in this role

Hours of work will be 17:00pm to 01:00am / Monday to Friday.

Experience within the food manufacturing industry would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for your area of responsibility.
Effectively manage your area ensuring Food Safety.
Manufacturing to procedural and photo standard quality compliance at all times.
Ensure organization of the necessary resources to achieve packing requirements.
To monitor all resources under your control and ensure they perform to the agreed level.
To communicate with your manager in a timely and appropriate manner information regarding the performance of your Area.
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) implementation in your area of responsibility.
To monitor the well-being of staff and take appropriate action to resolve personal issues which effect the cohesion of the team.
Ensure completion of all paperwork required for your Area.
To train new staff, and train experienced staff in new practices.
To liaise with other departments to ensure all production is safe and legal.
*Metal detector and CCP Checks.

A 300 retention bonus will be paid to the successful applicant on completion of 3-months successful employment.(Subject to terms).
