Paediatric Asthma/ Respiratory Specialist Nurse
Job Description
The successful applicant will run joint and nurse led clinics in conjunction with Consultant colleagues to offer the highest level of care to the patients. You will manage a caseload of children and young people carrying out spirometry within the hospital, and supporting with inhaler technique and care planning. You will be the point of contact for the asthma service. The role will provide highly specialised support and advice.
You will be expected to provide advice and support in relation to management of asthma for children and young people, and will be expected to provide clinical and educational support to staff within the Trust. This will involve reviewing patients on the children's acute ward as well as in the outpatients setting.
