Occupational Therapist

to join their multidisciplinary team.

Band 5-7 (Dependent on Experience)

Occupational Therapist

, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils to develop essential life and learning skills. Working amongst team of experienced Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and specialist teachers, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact.

As an

Occupational Therapist

, you will be responsible for

:



Supporting pupils to develop life and learning skills through tailored interventions. Developing, advising on, and maintaining therapeutic materials, including adaptive equipment. Delivering whole class, small group, and individual sessions as appropriate. Collaborating with senior therapists to develop the Occupational Therapy curriculum. Designing resources to support the school environment and facilitate learning at home. Directing and guiding therapy assistants in their work. Working within the classroom to upskill all staff in therapeutic approaches to meet the individual needs of the pupils. Undertaking specialist assessments and contributing to the writing of Annual Reviews or Education, Health, and Care (EHCP) plans as needed.
As an

Occupational Therapist

, you will have

:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting, preferably with children with special needs. An understanding of therapeutic approaches to support children with MLD, ASD, SLD, physical, and sensory challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, pupils, and parents/carers. Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of children with special needs.

Pay: 30,830.42-51,752.40 per year
