Job Description

As a band 5 staff nurse in Children's Emergency Department you would receive a supernumerary period to enable a safe introduction to the team. We have a band 5 development pathway that will give you skills in assessment of children and young persons, administration of medications, safeguarding supervision and the commencement of the national ED competencies. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including doctors, health play specialists and clinical support workers to ensure that all children have a positive experience, whatever their emergency. As a band 5 nurse you should be able to assess children, perform vital observations and give treatment/ medications as indicated.
