Paint Coating Specialist
to join their production team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coatings professional to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Paint Coating Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing, applying, and monitoring paint coatings to ensure superior finishes that meet both customer and industry standards. Working closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining coating consistency, troubleshooting defects, and driving continuous improvement within the paint plant.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating, monitoring, and maintaining coating equipment and systems.
Preparing surfaces and materials for coating, including pre-treatment processes.
Applying coatings to exact specifications and quality standards.
Conducting inspections using visual checks, adhesion testing, and thickness measurements.
Identifying and correcting coating defects such as runs, sags, or blistering.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Keeping accurate records of coating processes, production data, and inspections.
Training operators on coating techniques and safety practices.
About You
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in industrial coatings.
Essential criteria:
3-5 years' experience in paint coating within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of powder, liquid, electrostatic, or other coating systems.
Hands-on experience with spray guns, booths, ovens, and automated coating equipment.
Understanding of surface preparation methods and quality standards.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and safety data sheets.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
