Join our heritage restoration team:

Painter & Body Preparer

(Restoration Team/Vintage Vehicles) - You will be required to work to a very high standard and deliver high end results, this role is focussed predominately on classic and vintage vehicles both car and commercial with a age profile of 1930s through to the 1990s.

You will be working on a private collection of vehicles as well as customers, ensuring that show stopper quality is achieved.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about heritage and work to exceptional finishes to create the best results, our vehicles are restored in house and you will form part of a dedicated team.

This role is offered on a part time or full time basis, hours to be agreed & discussed, below are the basic hours offered. We will also consider self employed staff for this role, there is flexibility to support both interests.

We are happy to take on someone who isn't so affiliated to painting, this objective is to find someone who can prepare vehicles to a very high standard with particular attention to detail, this requires a lot of time and patience to ensure we achieve the end result.

Working hours option A:



Tuesday -Thursday 07:30-16:00 with overtime possible

Friday 07:30-1500 - Optional

Workshop shutdown at Christmas with further terms discussed.

Working hours option B:



Monday - Friday 07:30-16:00 with overtime possible

NB - This roll will be a mixture of heritage preparation and commercial workings to supplement the extra working hours within the paint shop.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and filling holes to ensure a smooth finish
- Mix paint and other materials to achieve the desired colour and texture
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective gear when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget

Qualifications:

- Experience working as a Painter or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Mechanical knowledge to fabricate or assemble structures if required
- Familiarity with basic maths for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for colour matching
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
