Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring that all materials are ready for the finishing process. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Paint Prepper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation tasks. Assist in the movement of heavy materials and equipment, ensuring safety during lifting and handling. Maintain an organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly after use. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand how tools and equipment operate. Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes. Experience with power tools is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn and grow within the industry.
