Are you a detail-oriented
Paint Technician
with a passion for surface finishing and process improvement? We're looking for someone to join our Production Engineering team, reporting to the Senior Robotics Engineer, and play a key role in ensuring our painted components meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation.
What You'll Be Doing
Resolving surface finishing quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborating with robotics engineers to assess and validate paint application processes.
Working with suppliers and contractors to drive continuous improvement.
Optimising paint application processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Supporting health & safety initiatives and training within the Production Support team.
Leading finishing activities for new product introductions and special finishes.
Capturing and analysing coating data to identify trends and improvements.
Maintaining and creating documentation aligned with ISO9001:2015 standards.
Advising and guiding colleagues on painting processes across the business.
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience as a Paint Technician or similar role.
Skilled in water-based & 2K spray finishes, sanding, and polishing.
Experience working with suppliers on paint-related problem resolution.
Knowledge of LAPPC, HAV, DSEAR, COSHH regulations.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience in manufacturing environments and wood surface coating.
Familiarity with LAPPC Part B Permitting regulations.
ATA or Level 3 NVQ equivalent.
GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C or above).
ISO9001:2015 and Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
