Job Summary

Top Mark Solutions is a dynamic and expanding Facilities Management company based in Warrington, specialising in services for the property management sector. With a strong reputation for reliability and quality, we deliver a wide range of trade services -- from joinery, plumbing and drainage, to roofing, painting & decorating, and external cleaning.

We are currently seeking a skilled

Painter & Decorator

who takes pride in their craft and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in both internal and external decoration, and ideally possess basic plastering or surface preparation skills to support reactive maintenance works across our sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces through sanding, filling, and patch plastering to ensure a smooth finish prior to decoration Apply a range of paint finishes including emulsion, gloss, satinwood, and specialist coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors Carry out wallpapering and the installation of decorative wall coverings where required Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are cleaned and used safely and effectively Consistently deliver a high-quality finish that meets client expectations and complies with health and safety procedures Accurately complete all required paperwork, including job reports and photographic documentation Work independently or alongside other trades as part of a reactive maintenance team Be willing to travel to various sites across the UK and work away when required

Requirements & Experience

Essential:

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Painter & Decorator Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver a professional finish Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of managing your own workload Willingness to travel and stay away from home when needed Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

Previous experience in plastering and surface repair, particularly for making good after maintenance works NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Painting & Decorating Valid UK driving licence Experience working in commercial, residential, or facilities management environments Comfortable collaborating with other trades (e.g. roofers, joiners, plumbers)
