Overview

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Painters and Decorators to join our team. This role involves applying paint, finishes, and decorative coatings to various surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction painting, renovation, and related skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer as needed Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools including airless paint sprayers Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications Perform specialty finishes such as stucco or decorative coatings for aesthetic enhancement Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, or other decorative features as required Conduct restoration work on existing structures to improve appearance and durability Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials

Skills

Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques Strong knowledge of colour theory and surface preparation methods Experience with construction estimating and blueprint reading Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and putty knives Familiarity with power tools, including airless sprayers and sanders Trade CSCS Card Ability to work efficiently on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols

Hours - 40-50 per week
