An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bristol City Councils Void repairs team as a Painter.
Bristol City Council is responsible for carrying out repairs and refurbishments to over 28,000 homes across the city of Bristol. Ensuring we provide great customer service and good quality homes for the residents of Bristol is at the heart of what we do. We are looking to fill vacancies in our void refurbishment teams.
What will I be doing?
The role will involve carrying out all aspects of Painting and decorating, within empty council homes. You will ensure work is carried out to a good professional standard and provide excellent customer service for tenants. Helping to contribute to departmental goals of improving void turnaround times and achieving customer satisfaction.
We are looking for someone who is a proactive, with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude. Experience of working within in the construction industry and trade knowledge are essential for this role.
What will I need?
You will need a full UK driving license.
Relevant professional Painting skills, Knowledge and experience
Good knowledge of health and safety/safe working practises
Ability to operate a PDA
The ability to converse with citizens and provide advice in accurate spoken English, or through a BSL interpreter
