Job Overview

Firstcall Trade Services, one of Scotland's leading property repair and maintenance companies, is expanding our team. We are currently recruiting five experienced Painters & Decorators with strong wallpaper hanging skills to join us.

This is a full-time, permanent role working across residential and commercial projects. A valid UK driving licence is essential as travel to multiple job sites is required.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating (cleaning, sanding, filling, priming). Apply paint, wallpaper, varnish, and specialist finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Expertly hang wallpaper and wall coverings to a professional standard. Protect furniture, flooring, and surfaces during work. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Work safely, following all site health & safety requirements. Collaborate with team members, site managers, and clients to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator (minimum 2 years preferred). Wallpaper hanging skills are essential. Valid UK driving licence (required). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to follow instructions, work to deadlines, and deliver consistent results. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team. Good communication skills in English.
