Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. This role requires proficiency in various painting techniques, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert application of paint and decorative finishes including wallpaper hanging, while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed to enhance the overall finish. Execute restoration projects on various surfaces including masonry and stucco. Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure cohesive results. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; demonstrate proficiency with both hand tools and power tools. Follow safety protocols while working on construction sites to prevent accidents. Drive company van from time to time and collect materials for jobs

Requirements

Proven experience in residential and commercial painting. Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations. Experience with plastering, caulking, concrete finishing, and industrial painting is preferred. Knowledge of maintenance person skills including fixture installation, frame carpentry, and renovation techniques. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. Ability to cut in to a high standard Hanging of wallpaper and murals

Payment

Salary is 15 per hour. You will be required to send your hours to our office each day, and then payment to your bank will be made every Monday morning for the previous week worked.
