We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all painting and decorating tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project requirements. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and design options. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled work. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential. Strong communication skills in English to effectively liaise with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between job sites. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting and decorating is advantageous.
Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 17.99-19.13 per hour
