The Role
We are looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team maintaining a large-scale MoD estate in South Wales. The primary focus of this role is to ensure high-quality internal and external finishes across various buildings on the site. While the priority is painting and decorating, the ideal candidate will also possess general handyman skills to assist with minor maintenance tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities
Primary:
Preparing surfaces (sanding, filling, stripping wallpaper) and applying paint, varnish, or wallpaper to a high standard.
Primary:
Carrying out internal and external decorating works on residential, office, and specialised site buildings.
Secondary:
Performing basic "handyman" repairs, such as minor carpentry, fixing fixtures, or basic patch repairs.
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and site-specific protocols.
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, particularly when working in occupied areas of the estate.
About You
Experience:
Proven experience as a professional Painter and Decorator.
Versatility:
A "can-do" attitude towards general maintenance and minor repairs.
Security:
Due to the nature of the site, the successful candidate must be able to pass [BPSS / SC Level] security vetting.
Licence:
A valid UK driving licence is essential for travelling across the estate.
Location:
Ideally based within commuting distance of South Wales.
