Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and reliable painters to work on a variety of commercial and domestic projects. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish in accordance with client specifications. You will be working under the direction of a contractor and assigned to jobs through an agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes/cracks, and applying primer. Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Work on both interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and woodwork. Follow health and safety procedures on-site. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Ensure work areas are clean and tidy after completion. Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors. Travel to various job sites as required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a painter in commercial and/or domestic settings. Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good physical stamina and attention to detail. CSCS card (preferred for commercial sites). Own tools and transport (may be required depending on job location). Flexibility to work on short-notice assignments.

Desirable:

NVQ or equivalent qualification in Painting & Decorating. Experience with wallpapering and decorative finishes. Awareness of environmental and safety regulations.
