Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service Are you a great communicator? You can help West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service\xe2\x80\x99s Fire Prevention team to deliver the Prevention Strategy by planning, developing, communicating, and evaluating risk reduction processes. Your duties would be to:

  • provide specialist advice and support on prevention policy and process issues.
  • coordinate the development of new, evidence-based approaches to delivering prevention interventions, both within WYFRS and at a national level.
  • implement organisational learning processes, particularly with civilians and victims of fire.
  • maintain accurate and up to date information on all Prevention policy and processes, including the Prevention web page.
  • coordinate each stage of the Prevention Communication Strategy.
You would need:
  • the ability to create, compose and edit written materials to a professional standard.
  • to be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse selection of individuals, groups, organisations, and professional bodies.
  • previous formal training to graduate or professional qualification level, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of learning gained through work experience.
  • to be self-motivated and prioritise work directed to set targets within tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
  • to be able to carry out in-depth research, using a variety of different sources, and reporting and advising on these findings.
  • experience of developing and implementing evaluation and monitoring methods to community interventions.
  • to be able to use IT effectively in the collation, analysis, and presentation of information.
