An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our talented and committed team as a Play Co-ordinator.

A Play Co-ordinator is required to run the After School Club at our friendly village school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and effective running of the after\xe2\x80\x93school club, professional responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the delivery of creative play opportunities in a well-organised, safe and caring environment
• Planning and preparing a suitable programme of activities
• Overall responsibility for the administration of the club, keeping relevant records
• Preparation of food in line with our Healthy Schools guidelines
• Management of staff employed by the club and support volunteers
• Always ensuring the safety of all children and staff. Ensuring that the behaviour of the children is in line with school policies and applying the school\xe2\x80\x99s discipline policy as appropriate
• Effective and professional communication with parents, the Headteacher and the Governors
• To carry out all responsibilities and activities in accordance with the school\xe2\x80\x99s agreed policies
• Undertaking any other duties that may reasonably be regarded as being commensurate with the grade and general purpose of the post

We would like to hear from applicants that have an NVQ level 3 in Play work/ Childcare or equivalent qualification, although applicants who are working towards this qualification will be considered. Due to the registration process applicants must be over 21 years of age. The successful candidate may be required to participate in training and CPD.

The postholder is accountable to the Headteacher.

Hours: 13.5 Hrs per week (3pm - 5:30pm) 12.5 contact time + 1 hour admin
