Overview

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes. Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration among all team members. Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests. Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality, consistently exceeding customer expectations. Handle any customer complaints or feedback professionally to enhance the dining experience.

Skills

Proven supervisory experience within a kitchen or restaurant setting. Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Excellent team management skills, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among staff. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
