Job Title: Body Panel Repair Technician
Reports To: Bodyshop Supervisor
Position Summary:
The main responsibility of a Body Panel Repair Technician is to repair or replace damaged vehicle body panels according to detailed work order instructions. The role may also include working on chassis and structural components, ensuring all repairs adhere to safety regulations and high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
For Certified Technicians:
Complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues when needed.
For Assistant Technicians:
Work closely with experienced technicians under supervision.
Core Tasks:
Remove, repair, or replace severely damaged vehicle panels.
Operate equipment such as jigs, fixtures, and welding tools safely and in accordance with company policies.
Follow manufacturer instructions and notices related to chassis and body panel repairs.
Participate in ongoing training to improve technical skills and stay updated with industry standards.
Handle vehicles carefully to ensure customer satisfaction and protect tools and equipment.
Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness procedures.
Technical Skills:
Your technical competencies will be evaluated and certified by your supervisor or team leader.
Additional Responsibilities:
As the organization grows, you may be assigned additional duties aligned with your skills, at management's discretion.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: Up to 52,000 OTE, including site bonuses (dependent on experience and qualifications).
Experience Required: At least 3 years; ATA accreditation is advantageous.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Holidays: 30 days annually, including public holidays, with possible additional days based on service length.
