Knaphill Coachworks is one of the South East's leading and most respected Accident Repair Centres in the region.

We specialise in vehicle repairs for the insurance industry along with the trade, fleet and general public. With all accident repairs guaranteed, our aim is to take the stress out of having a road traffic accident as much as is possible.
Experienced enough to perform panel work to vehicles/ strip vehicles at a professional standard - this includes new panels to be welded/fitted and filled - also able to work alone with no issue.

Responsibilities of a Panel Beater will include:



Strip & refit where necessary including adjustment and panel alignment. Report any defects or damage linked to associated job but not down for repair. Observe, recognize and report on vehicle structure and paintwork. Ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card. Removal and safe storage of vehicle components, fluids and gases as directed by work order. Removal and safe disposal of vehicle components and fluids as directed by work order. Quality control of all repairs, with final stage sign off. Report all faults, defects noticed whilst working on vehicles not apparent before dismantling. Take care of equipment, special tools, personal tools and report any faulty equipment to your manager. Actively make sure the repair method is in the job pack and is fully read, understood (e-scribe, manufacturer or other source) and displayed with the vehicle at all times. Ensure seat covers & foot mats are in place on all vehicles being worked on and soft top vehicles are protected. Panel alignment and adjacent components. Filler repairs & finished correctly in P180 and pinholes are checked. Underseal, weld through primers, anti-corrosion measures are complete before next stage.

Skills and experience required as a Panel Beater:



Previous experience in a similar role Motor manufacturer's qualifications and experience Undertake training courses as required Driving licence Training in mig braze, spot welding, rivet and bonding, high strength and Boron steel awareness. Full UK Driving licence. Team Player who uses initiative, be flexible and have a can-do attitude. Cultural and organisational insight and takes responsibility for own actions.

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
