We are seeking a Panel Trimmer / Metal Fabricator to join our team to be involved with the production of panels used in constructing and converting panel vans into Temperature Controlled Vehicles.

The duties include but are not limited to the following as a Panel Trimmer / Metal Fabricator:

Assist by loading and unloading of materials from CNC Machine Ensure materials are checked for size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting and inform the Manager of any quality concerns. Trim, cut and prep panels using handheld power tools following verbal and writing instructions Deliver materials and assemblies to fabrication department as assist them when required. Work with a variety of metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, measuring, cutting, fitting and forming Working on bespoke metal projects when required Ensure that materials are to correct specification to meet customer/vehicle requirements. Quality checking and fault identification Carry out any general tasks when asked by your Manager Deliver high standard of work and ensure deadlines are met

Skills and experience

Ability to work to deadlines Experience and proficient using power and hand tools Confident to work independently Must have a keen eye for detail and accuracy Ability to work independently without supervision and as part of a team to achieve productivity goals. All machine and personal safety procedures to be followed at all times Correct use of PPE Ability to multitask Ability to work in a fast paced environment Responsible for keeping a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Hours of work

8am - 5pm Monday - Friday

Weekend work and overtime available

Salary

From 12.50 based on experience
