Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Panel Wirer to join our assembly team in Welwyn Garden City. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about precision, quality, and safety-critical work. You will be responsible for wiring and assembling control and distribution panels, and you will also have the ability to terminate cable assemblies where required.

Key Responsibilities

Wire and assemble safety-critical panels to schematic diagrams with precision and attention to detail. Install, test, and build electrical control and distribution units. Work from engineering drawings and schematics to deliver high-quality panels. Use hand and pneumatic tools safely and effectively. Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain strict adherence to quality standards. Raise technical queries and liaise with management to uphold procedures and policies. Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Competencies & Skills

Minimum 5 years' experience wiring safety-critical panels. Proven ability to produce neat, accurate, and high-quality work. Experience with cable assemblies, harnesses, and looms. Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical schematics. Skilled in the use of hand and pneumatic tools. Experience in Aerospace, Telecoms, Defence, or similar industries is highly desirable. Familiarity with installing large electrical control cabinets.

Requirements

Previous experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly is essential. Electrical HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
