As we continue to expand, we are looking to strengthen our reach within the Chinese-speaking community in the UK and are seeking an experienced and motivated Chinese-speaking Paralegal to join our team.

Role Overview



This position is ideal for an experienced Paralegal who has worked in both Immigration and Conveyancing matters and is ready to take a proactive role in case handling and market development.

You will be responsible for assisting solicitors with ongoing files, managing client communication, and supporting our business development efforts in the Chinese-speaking market.

The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent client service, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a busy legal environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesImmigration & Conveyancing Casework

Assist solicitors in preparing and submitting Home Office immigration applications, including:
FLR(M), FLR(FP), Settlement (ILR), Naturalisation, Skilled Worker, and Visitor visas.

Draft client care letters, legal correspondence, and supporting documents for submission. Support the conveyancing team in file management, searches, Land Registry applications, and drafting of sale/purchase documents. Communicate with clients to collect documents and ensure compliance with immigration and property regulations. Conduct AML and KYC checks and maintain accurate case files following SRA standards. Use the firm's case management system to manage case progress and records efficiently. Liaise with third parties (councils, estate agents, lenders, surveyors, etc.) to support conveyancing transactions.
Client Communication & Business Development

Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients, providing guidance and updates in a professional and empathetic manner. Support marketing and outreach initiatives targeting the Chinese-speaking community in the UK. Help develop culturally relevant content (e.g. short videos, posts, or materials) to raise awareness of the firm's services. Build and maintain positive relationships with local community groups and organisations to enhance visibility and trust.
Research & Continuous Development

Keep up to date with changes in immigration and property law. Assist in identifying opportunities for the firm's expansion into the Chinese-speaking market. Participate in firm initiatives, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Key Requirements



Minimum 1 year of experience working in a UK law firm (both Immigration and Conveyancing experience required). Knowledge of key immigration categories (Family routes, Skilled Worker, Settlement) and conveyancing procedures. Law degree or equivalent qualification (SQE or LPC desirable). Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English (written and spoken). Excellent drafting, research, and client communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely. Confident, professional, and proactive in managing workload. Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems. Must be based in London or able to commute daily to Canary Wharf. A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support wider firm objectives, including community engagement.

Additional Information



Probation: 6 months Annual Leave: 20 days + 8 public holidays (pro rata), One extra birthday leave if you either pass the probation time or over 6 months in service. Travel Reimbursement: Not provided for this role
