The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to fast-track their legal career, with hands-on experience in a highly specialised and meaningful area of law.
Key Responsibilities:
Support solicitors with complex Court of Protection matters, including s.16 and s.21A MCA 2005 proceedings
Assist with deputyship applications, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) cases
Liaise with clients, experts, and the Official Solicitor as part of case preparation
Collaborate with teams on existing court of protection matters.
Contribute to business development initiatives to grow the department
Ensure excellent client care and professional service delivery
About You:
We're looking for someone enthusiastic and ready to hit the ground running. Experience in this area is ideal but not essential if you have the right attitude and are eager to learn.
You will ideally have:
Experience or interest in Court of Protection (Health & Welfare) work
A proactive mindset and excellent organisational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with legal aid processes and CCMS (desirable)
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (advantageous)
