The role:
You'll be assisting in the management of financial affairs Deputyships and working with the directors of Stephensons Trust Corporation which is the Corporate Deputy.

You'll support vulnerable individuals and their families, attend care settings, draft court applications, and manage sensitive cases with compassion and precision. The work involves ongoing risk assessments, liaising with professionals and family members, and ensuring strict compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. You'll play a vital role in progressing cases efficiently, contributing to the department's profitability, and promoting the Stephensons brand. With opportunities to handle Wills, LPAs, Trusts, and Estate Administration, this is a dynamic position that allows you to grow professionally while making a real difference.

About You:
Essential:-
5 GCSE's including English and Maths at C and above.
A level or higher educational qualification.
Experience of admin duties
Good standard of computer literacy and experience with IT systems
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both face to face and over the telephone
Great time management and organisation skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to consider and extrapolate relevant issues
Ability to work as part of a team or under delegated tasks reporting directly to supervising fee earner
Desirable:-
A relevant degree or working towards.
Experience in working within the legal sector
Experience of working as a paralegal
Experience of acting for vulnerable people lacking mental capacity
Experience of using a Case Management system
Personality/Other Qualities
A sensitive and empathetic nature and an ability to deal with difficult and controversial subject matter
A desire to learn Court of Protection work and develop an expertise in it.
Discretion and ability to work in a confidential work environment under pressure
Ability to work amidst frequent interruptions
Working under time orientated pressure
Ability to analyse issues and identify key points
Valid UK driving license - not essential but beneficial.
