As Paralegal you will support the Legal EMEA PDx team on various aspects of the company's operations and initiatives.




You will be an experienced commercial paralegal and will play a key role in supporting the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) legal function with a range of contract drafting and review tasks but also with administrative tasks such as outside counsel management and corporate housekeeping.




Acting as a trusted business partner, you will be expected to work at all levels of the organization with various functional and product teams. It is essential that applicants have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, with a particular focus on indirect market related agreements such as distribution/wholesaler/sales agent agreements in the pharmaceutical industry but also Power of Attorney, Non-disclosure agreements and quality agreements.




Though the Paralegal will work primarily on legal matters related to EMEA, the candidate will need to be flexible and ready to work on global matters or matters relating to other PDx regions.



This position is designed for experienced career paralegals who are passionate about supporting a legal team. We are looking for individuals who thrive in the paralegal profession and seek long-term growth within this role.

Vous serez un(e) assistant(e) juridique commercial(e) experimente(e) et jouerez un role cle dans le soutien de la fonction juridique EMEA (Europe, Moyen-Orient et Afrique) en effectuant diverses taches de redaction et de revision de contrats, mais aussi des taches administratives telles que la gestion des conseillers juridiques externes et l'administration interne.




En tant que partenaire commercial de confiance, vous serez amene a travailler a tous les niveaux de l'organisation avec differentes equipes fonctionnelles et produits. Il est essentiel que les candidats aient de l'experience dans la redaction, la revision et la negociation d'accords commerciaux, avec un accent particulier sur les accords lies au marche indirect, tels que les accords de distribution/grossiste/agent commercial dans l'industrie pharmaceutique, mais aussi les procurations, les accords de non-divulgation et les accords de qualite.




Bien que le parajuriste travaillera principalement sur des questions juridiques liees a la region EMEA, le candidat devra faire preuve de flexibilite et etre pret a travailler sur des questions mondiales ou liees a d'autres regions PDx.



Ce poste est destine a des parajuristes experimentes qui sont passionnes par le soutien a une equipe juridique. Nous recherchons des personnes qui s'epanouissent dans la profession de parajuriste et qui souhaitent evoluer a long terme dans ce role.

Key responsibilities:

Managing the corporate housekeeping process such as related to powers of attorney, delegations of authority and respective guidance and training. Conducting commercial contract reviews such as NDAs, distribution agreements, quality agreements, amendment agreements etc with a focus on compliance with existing templates, the identifying and mitigating of risks and the ensuring of contractual rigor; this can also include the drafting of respective documents based on business needs and the customization and use of PDx contractual templates. Supporting in updating and harmonizing PDx contractual templates. Conducting initial legal researches in close alignment with the lawyers. Participating in, and taking minutes of, calls regarding matters of broader scope and drafting update summaries in close alignment with the responsible project lead lawyer. Managing all types of daily correspondence to ensure timely response and appropriate prioritization. Educating legal and business colleagues on Legal department' s processes as and when required. Performing administrative tasks to support legal operations, such as managing documentation, outside counsel management and case management (organize files, track deadlines, prepare reporting documents etc.).

Required Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication in English (with French, German or another EMEA language a plus). Minimum of 2 years demonstrated administrative experience in a Legal environment of a pharmaceutical company or Life Sciences team in a law firm, supporting the activities of a Legal department/team or Legal manager. Strong time management skills. Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects with more than one team member simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and follow through on all assignments. Strong personal integrity and commitment to operating ethically and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team player ability. Must be able to maintain security of highly confidential information--discretion and confidentiality required

Les principales responsabilites/fonctions essentielles comprennent :

Gerer le processus d'organisation interne de l'entreprise, notamment en ce qui concerne les procurations, les delegations de pouvoirs et les conseils et formations correspondants. Realiser des examens de contrats commerciaux tels que les accords de confidentialite, les accords de distribution, les accords de qualite, les accords de modification, etc. en mettant l'accent sur la conformite avec les modeles existants, l'identification et l'attenuation des risques et la garantie de la rigueur contractuelle ; cela peut egalement inclure la redaction de documents respectifs en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise et la personnalisation et l'utilisation des modeles contractuels PDx. Aider a la mise a jour et a l'harmonisation des modeles contractuels PDx. Effectuer des recherches juridiques initiales en etroite collaboration avec les avocats. Participer a des appels telephoniques concernant des questions de plus grande envergure, en rediger les comptes rendus et rediger des resumes de mise a jour en etroite collaboration avec l'avocat responsable du projet. Gerer tous les types de correspondance quotidienne afin d'assurer une reponse rapide et une hierarchisation appropriee des priorites. Former les collegues des services juridiques et commerciaux aux processus du service juridique, selon les besoins. Effectuer des taches administratives pour soutenir les operations juridiques, telles que la gestion de la documentation, la gestion des conseillers juridiques externes et la gestion des dossiers (organisation des fichiers, suivi des delais, preparation des documents de rapport, etc.

Qualifications requises :

Excellente communication orale et ecrite en anglais (la maitrise du francais, de l'allemand ou d'une autre langue de la zone EMEA est un plus). Au moins 2 ans d'experience administrative averee dans le domaine juridique d'une entreprise pharmaceutique ou d'une equipe specialisee dans les sciences de la vie au sein d'un cabinet d'avocats, en soutien aux activites d'un service/d'une equipe juridique ou d'un responsable juridique. Solides competences en gestion du temps. Experience averee dans le cadre de projets multiples avec plusieurs membres d'equipe simultanement, capacite a s'adapter a l'evolution des priorites et a mener a bien toutes les missions. Grande integrite personnelle et engagement a agir de maniere ethique et professionnelle. Solides competences interpersonnelles et capacite averee a travailler en equipe. Capacite a garantir la securite des informations hautement confidentielles -- discretion et confidentialite requises.
