About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team based in Glasgow.

Provide high quality legal advice and support services to our clients in the Private Client department and assist the firm in achieving its stated professional and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Estate administrations

oBe able to deal with both testate and intestate estates from start to finish

oExperience of dealing with estates where inheritance tax is payable

oPrepare an estate account

Wills and powers of attorney

oExperience of preparing simple wills and powers of attorney

Guardianship

oIdeally have experience in running Guardianship administration files and preparing accounts to the satisfaction of the Office of the Public Guardian

oIdeally have experience in drafting Guardianship applications and minutes of renewal

General

oGood file management and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

oAble to handle own case load

oAbility to meet time recording and fee targets

Person Specification

oYou have excellent communications skills, you are articulate, you communicate clearly and concisely.

oYou enjoy working within a team and on your own.

oYou are good at building and developing client relationships.

oYou are confident and you believe in your own ability.

oYou are committed to providing a good client experience and willing to put in extra time and effort when required.

oYou have good attendance and timekeeping.
