The purpose of the Paralegal role is to provide Clients, Solicitors and Legal Executives with an excellent level of support whilst working compliantly and within best practice. It is therefore an ideal role to develop a career within the firm and the Legal Services profession. The key duties of the role are included in the , but in summary the role requires you to:
Prepare compliance for Solicitors or Legal Executives to review and approve.
Complete legal tasks to progress client matters, e.g. drafting letters and statements for Solicitor approval.
Communicate with clients and third parties via email, phone calls and meetings.
Assist with the management of matter finances, such as drafting invoices or completing posting slips.
This role will be based in our Childcare department.
Candidate Specification
This role is designed to build a career within the firm and the Legal Services profession. It is therefore open to candidates who have experience with a Legal Service provider and or an education in law. In summary the role requires you to have
either or both of the following
:
Two or more years work experience Paralegal within a Legal Services provider or;
A law degree (2.2 or higher) or equivalent.
You will also need to have:
English and Math's GCSE (grade C or higher) or equivalent.
Competency working with a computer.
