Job Description

We're looking for a Paralegal to join our Private Client team in Newcastle. You'll be supporting fee earners in providing a wide range of legal services and to deliver an exceptional service to our clients. This role will be largely office based.

What will I be doing

Supporting on a wide range of Private Client matters, ensuring all required documentation is in place. Managing, under supervision, straightforward probate matters. Submitting Trustee Act Notices. Assisting with the preparation of Estate Accounts including undertaking bank reconciliations. Preparing "first draft" straightforward Wills, and deeds and documents such as Deeds of Retirement, Trustees' Minutes and Resolutions. Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney. Attending client meetings and dealing with initial inquiries from third parties. Undertaking Land Registry searches and legal research.

You'll have

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and good all-round IT skills The ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, and manage your time effectively. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. The ability to adapt your style, be proactive, and effectively solve problems. Previous legal work experience would be advantageous but not essential.
