This role will provide comprehensive commercial and transactional support to the Corporate Real Estate team, enabling the business to acquire, develop, finance, manage and dispose of real property assets across the United Kingdom and, where required, on cross-border transactions. Acting as a pivotal liaison between internal stakeholders, external counsel, lenders, regulators and counterparties, the Paralegal will ensure the efficient progression of real estate transactions from initial heads of terms through post-completion integration, while safeguarding the firm's legal and regulatory positions.
Key responsibilities
+ conducting title, corporate, planning and regulatory due diligence, preparing concise reports on title and alerting supervising counsel to material risks;
+ drafting, reviewing and negotiating routine transactional documents such as confidentiality agreements, heads of terms, exclusivity agreements, short-form licences, wayleave agreements, deeds of variation, rent deposit deeds, Land Registry forms and ancillary completion deliverables;
+ assisting in the preparation, verification and collation of certificates of title, corporate authorisations, capacity opinions, condition precedent checklists and closing bibles for financing or refinancing transactions;
+ managing data rooms (both physical and virtual), overseeing document version control, maintaining transaction timetables and producing status reports for internal project management meetings;
+ liaising with surveyors, brokers, planning consultants and environmental specialists to obtain requisite third-party reports and coordinating their review in accordance with agreed transaction milestones;
+ overseeing the submission, monitoring and completion of Land Registry, Companies House, SDLT and other statutory filings, ensuring accuracy of information, timely payment of fees and preservation of key priority periods.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
+ The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level (Law LLB or GDL preferred) and will have completed, or be working towards, the LPC or SQE;
+ A minimum of eighteen months' hands-on real estate or corporate transactional experience within a city or leading regional law firm, or an in-house legal team with a substantial property portfolio, is expected. Familiarity with Land Registry practice, commercial lease structures, corporate housekeeping and basic finance documentation is essential; exposure to development projects, joint ventures or structured finance will be advantageous;
+ In addition to sound technical proficiency, the role demands exemplary organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams under tight deadlines;
+ Must be able to demonstrate strong drafting acumen, commercial awareness, numerical aptitude for analysing financial schedules and rent models, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and document-management software;
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to convey complex legal concepts succinctly to non-lawyer stakeholders, and a collaborative mindset is indispensable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
