to join our Restructuring team at Charles Rose. The successful candidate will work closely with the Restructuring Solicitor, providing high-quality support on a wide range of insolvency, restructuring, and recovery matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their legal career within a specialist practice area.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting the Solicitor in managing a caseload of restructuring and insolvency files.
Conducting legal research on corporate insolvency, restructuring, and related legislation.
Drafting legal documents, including correspondence, initial petitions, statutory forms, reports, and board minutes.
Preparing case bundles and supporting materials for hearings, client meetings, and negotiations.
Liaising with clients, creditors, barristers, external stakeholders, and internal teams.
Assisting with due diligence, file management, and document review.
Maintaining accurate and organised case files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
Supporting business development initiatives, including drafting articles, briefings, and updates on restructuring law developments.
Providing general administrative and clerical support to the Solicitor as required.
Person Specification
Essential
Law degree, LPC (or equivalent legal qualification/experience).
Strong interest in insolvency, restructuring, or commercial law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
Desirable
Previous paralegal experience in insolvency, restructuring, or litigation.
Experience liaising with clients and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of insolvency processes (administrations, liquidations, CVAs, receiverships).
