We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced private client paralegal to join a new and expanding Private Client Law firm.


The firm is owned by a large well established wealth management company who understand that a company is only as good as its people and that employees should be rewarded and supported for working hard. You will be an important factor on how the role is shaped going forward.

Paralegal

The purpose of this role is to provide support to solicitors at a new firm offering Private Client services. The work will include obtaining Grants of Probate and dealing with estate administration, simple will drafting and drafting of Lasting Powers of Attorney with a particular focus on probate work.

As our Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

Open files ensuring compliance with legislation Obtain all relevant documents Enter data onto case management system Prepare legal statements Liaise with clients and keep clients updated on progress Liaise with financial organisations Liaise with HMRC and the Probate Registry Work in a timely manner ensuring deadlines are achieved Ensure accurate and timely billing of all files Maintain legal knowledge

What we are looking for in our ideal Paralegal:

Experience of working in wills and probate as a paralegal Understanding of the probate process Ability to work independently Excellent client care and communication skills Ability to prioritise different deadlines and work loads Excellent attention to detail Understanding of case management systems
