Our client numbers are growing and we are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Paraplanner to support our us in delivering high-quality advice and exceptional service.
Role Summary:
The Paraplanner will play a key role in supporting the Financial Planner(s) by preparing and maintaining client files, conducting product and fund research, submitting applications, writing suitability reports, and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently with the flexibility of part-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis on a wide range of financial products (pensions, investments, mortgage and protection, etc.)
Draft suitability reports based on recommendations from the adviser
Prepare annual review reports and cash flow forecasts
Liaise with product providers and clients to obtain accurate data
Maintain and update client records in accordance with compliance requirements
Assist with client meeting preparation and follow-up actions
Stay current with financial regulations and product developments
Essential Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a paraplanning role within a UK IFA or financial planning firm
Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or working towards)
Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, mortgage and protection
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in financial planning software (e.g. Xplan, Defaqto, cashcalc)
High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Desirable:
Experience working with Xplan / Defaqto / Aviva platform would be beneficial
Familiarity with FCA compliance standards and procedures
Willingness to continue professional development
