Our role profile :
You will play a key role in our advice process and the delivery of high-quality service to our clients.
You will produce suitability reports that reflect the client's objectives, needs, and wants across a variety of products and services, including retirement planning, investment planning, tax planning, protection, and corporate financial planning, carry out technical, product and investment research liaising with product providers, investment managers and other third parties and prepare for and attend client meetings and advise clients as required.
Prepare detailed, accurate and compliant suitability reports and financial planning documents across a range of planning areas.
Conduct technical, product and investment research liaising with product providers, investment managers and other third parties.
Liaise with product providers and pension scheme administrators to gather relevant plan / pension scheme information.
Produce cash flow forecasts and scenario analysis to support client recommendations.
Prepare for and hold client meetings providing advice as required.
Undertake complex tax calculations including pension allowances, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.
Maintain accurate and detailed records for audit, reporting, and regulatory purposes.
Ensure all advice and recommendations comply with FCA regulations, firm policies, and industry best practice.
Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practices, and suggestions for process improvements that enhance the client experience and contribute to the firm's success.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, regulations and market trends to support informed advice and decision making.
Manage workload effectively, to ensure that positive consumer outcomes and achievement of business targets.
Undertake regular CPD to meet regulatory requirements.
Pursue additional qualifications and skills to enhance the quality and breadth of advice offered.
Strong understanding of the advice process and financial products.
A good level of technical knowledge across a wide range of planning areas.
Experience of defined benefit pensions and pension transfers (preferred).
Awareness of taxation laws, estate planning rules, and retirement planning legislation.
The ability to analyze complex financial data.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, compliant and client-friendly reports.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients, third parties (e.g. accountants and solicitors) and colleagues.
Experience in researching financial products and investment solutions.
Proficient in using financial planning software including cash flow modelling, risk profiling, FE Analytics, FinCalc, O&M Profiler.
Up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., FCA rules, GDPR compliance).
Able to work under pressure and multitask with good diary management.
Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
Appropriate qualification in Pension Transfer Advice (G60 or AF7) preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in a paraplanning or technical role, including attending client meetings
Experience with Defined Benefit pensions at-retirement advice preferred
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial plans and compliance documentation.

Salary: Up to 45,000 dependent on experience.
Pension: Salary sacrifice pension contributions.
