Parcel Sortation Maintenance Engineer

to join the team!

Role Overview:

This role is suited to experienced and safety-focused engineers seeking to develop their careers in a dynamic, high-throughput logistics environment. As part of a dedicated 8-person engineering team, you will maintain and optimise high-speed parcel sortation and conveyor systems, including Siemens PLC-based controls, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

maintenance and fault-finding

on

automated sortation systems, conveyors

, and

associated machinery

. Work shifts across days, afternoons, and evenings as part of a rotating pattern. Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime. Support upgrades and modifications of Siemens PLC-based control systems. Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless coverage and support.

Candidate Requirements:

Strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering within an automation, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

Electrical bias preferred

mechanical engineers who are electrically

competent are also welcome. Experience working with Siemens PLCs and automated control systems highly desirable. Confident in reading and interpreting technical schematics and manuals. Proactive, team-oriented, and capable of working independently when needed. Flexible and reliable approach to working hours and responsibilities.
