The Role:

Reporting to the Early Help and Prevention Service Lead, you will support us to introduce and embed our parenting pathway. This will include the delivery of a new anti and post-natal parenting programme (including Solihull Programme delivery), the introduction of PeeP to support early communication, language, and literacy development. It will also ensure that our parenting pathway (based on the Thrive model) is embedded across the wider system, including in education, social care and the voluntary and community sector.

The role will include:

  • Coordinating and monitoring the provision for Parenting support across the Early Help Network
  • Communicating with Children and Family Services, Health, and wider partners.
  • Quality assurance and evaluation of the parenting provision.
  • Being seen as an expert/specialist and will be required to collaborate with others at various levels (including senior management) at both internal and external clients / agency.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret information, pre-empt and evaluate issues and recommend an appropriate course of action to address the issues.
  • Problem solving and responding to sudden unexpected demands.
  • Reporting to a line manager at a service lead level but are expected to exercise own judgement as an expert in the field.
  • Monitoring and reviewing attendance within programmes running as part of the Family Hub offer.

What you\'ll need to succeed
  • Educated to a NVQ level 6 in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area of Parenting.
  • You will have problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
  • You will have an attention to detail combined with the ability to extract key messages from complex analysis.
  • Specialist knowledge in relation to parenting and evidenced based parenting programs.
  • Experience and understanding or evaluating and measuring the performance of family interventions.
  • A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
  • Experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office environment and ideally, experience of working in Children\'s and/or Young People\'s Services.
