We are looking to appoint a Parenting Team Leader within the Parenting Service, part of the Parenting and Place team. This role will lead and develop parenting support services across Newport, ensuring high-quality interventions in the home, community, and group settings. The Parenting Team Leader will work in partnership with colleagues and external agencies to deliver a coordinated approach that improves outcomes for children, young people, and families.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working with families, particularly those who are hard to reach, and a proven ability to manage teams and caseloads effectively.
Essential requirements include:
NVQ Level 3 in a relevant area (childcare, youth work, social care) and willingness to work towards Level 5.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding processes and relevant legislation.
Experience delivering parenting interventions and supporting staff development.
Full UK driving licence and ability to work flexibly across Newport.
Welsh language skills are desirable.
