Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and be proficient in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or FreeAgent is essential. This role will involve managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial management to support our organisational goals.

Duties

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Conduct financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or FreeAgent for efficient financial management. Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development within the finance department. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to assist in budgeting processes. Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and FreeAgent is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Experience in mentoring or training staff is advantageous. AAT Level 3 Qualified (or part-qualified) or equivalent.
