To lead and manage audit assignments across a small client portfolio, ensuring high-quality service delivery, technical compliance, and strong client relationships. The Auditor will be responsible for planning, executing, and reviewing audit engagements as well as acting as the responsible individual.
Duties
Plan, lead, and oversee audit engagements from inception to completion and sign off, across a diverse portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, groups, and FCA regulated businesses.
Review and finalise audit files to ensure they meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
Identify key risk areas and ensure appropriate audit responses are implemented.
Maintain technical competence across UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards.
Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans for improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact auditing practices.
Requirements
ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong audit background.
Must hold a relevant practising certificate with audit qualification.
Willing to be appointed as a responsible individual for the firm
Familiarity with the FCA regulations.
