The Wheel Ale House is a charming and cozy micropub known for its exceptional selection of craft beers, warm atmosphere, and friendly staff. We pride ourselves on providing a unique and enjoyable experience for our patrons. We are currently seeking Part-Time Bar Staff to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Bar Assistant, you will play an integral role in creating a welcoming and memorable environment for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
Serving Customers:
- Greeting customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Taking orders for beverages, food and snacks and serving them promptly.
- Providing recommendations on our diverse selection of craft beers, wine, spirits and cocktails.
- Handling cash transactions and operating the POS system accurately.
Running the Bar:
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
Preparing Food/Snacks:
- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of food and snacks.
- Ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Keeping the micropub clean and tidy at all times.
- Regularly cleaning and sanitizing tables, counters, and other customer areas.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
Excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, but not required.
