We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper and Payroll Officer on a part time basis reporting to Creative Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting data entry and transferring to appropriate reporting documentation for monthly management review.
They will also be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for 3 employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Prepare and distribute payslips and year-end tax documents.
Process all accounts data related to invoices, sales, purchases, cash and bank.
Process VAT returns.
Carry out regular bank reconciliation.
Extract details for monthly reporting cycle to allow review by management.
Ensure payment of all suppliers in a timely manner
Assist with other office activities as required.
Prepare accounts to hand over to accountant at year end.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software Sage, Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and payroll legislation.
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
