Part Time Care Assistant wanted, only 4 hours per morning (14 to 16 hours per week) - perfect for those who are not able to work full time at the moment.

Shifts are 8.00am to 12 noon, four shifts one week, three shifts the next which is an average of 14 hours per week. We are able to increase this slightly if needs be. 5.6 weeks holiday pay included.

Salary: 12.21 per hour

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality care are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Implement and follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Foster a warm and friendly atmosphere by engaging with residents through conversation and activities. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by following health and safety protocols. Drive residents to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their comfort during transportation.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Moderate IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. A valid driving licence is advantageous getting to and from work. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
