We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to residents' needs, and demonstrate a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring personalised care is delivered effectively
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required
Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Ensure a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving community visits or home care support
Good organisational skills to manage care plans and daily routines efficiently
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
13.30 per hour weekdays
14.30 per hour weekends
