Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or providing home care services. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives by delivering personalised care and assistance. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of care. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs Providing companionship and emotional support to clients Assisting with medication reminders and basic health monitoring if required Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Driving to appointments or clients' homes as necessary (where applicable) Ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients at all times

Requirements

Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care or travel between locations Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others Reliable, punctual, organised, and able to follow care plans accurately Working pattern - Week 1 Mon 2-8 Tuesday 8-8 Friday 8-8 Week 2 Tuesday 2-8 Saturday 2-8
