, home to 18 residents, and we're looking for a

part-time Cook

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a commitment to food safety and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations. Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new cooking techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as required. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively A
